Athletics Meeting RIETER 2026 to Become Part of the World Athletics Continental Tour for the First Time
On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, the Athletics Meeting Rieter will return to Ústí nad Orlicí with a major milestone ahead. For the first time in its history, the meeting will become part of the prestigious World Athletics Continental Tour in the Challenger category.
The meeting in Ústí nad Orlicí will therefore rank among the most significant athletics events in the Czech Republic, building on the growing quality and reputation of previous editions. Fans can look forward to strong Czech and international competition, attractive disciplines, and a significantly enhanced international field of athletes.
Last year’s edition featured, among other highlights, a Czech national record by Jakub Dudycha in the 600 metres and the participation of Olympic medallist Candice McLeod from Jamaica.The organisers aim to continue building on these achievements.
More information about the meeting programme and the athletes competing in Ústí nad Orlicí will be announced gradually in the coming months.
If everything goes according to plan, the organisers are also preparing the very first live broadcast of the event through a professional livestream production.
